SERUM INGREDIENTS

Retinaldehyde: The most potent form of Vitamin A allowed without a prescription and the closest step to retinoic acid, retinaldehyde boosts collagen production, increases cell turnover, decreases the appearance of fine lines and minimizes hyperpigmentation. It has shown to even skin tone and provide anti-aging benefits twice as fast as retinol - in about 4 weeks with nightly use.

Kojic Acid: This super-ingredient prevents the formation of melanin, which gives sun and age spots their color. As a result, it helps brighten your complexion.

Licorice Root: Licorice extract is a natural skin lightening alternative to chemical hydroquinone. 

Turmeric (Curcuma Longa Root Extract): A recent study found that turmeric can brighten skin within three weeks. Paired with Broad Spectrum CBD oil as the carrier, it also has natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

HOW DOES CBD HELP SKIN?

Cannabinoids including CBD and CBG have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects at potent doses such as those present in MOOD Skin Care products. That means that they help your cells fight free radicals, which deteriorate cells and cause signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. CBD and CBG also help calm skin, working with other ingredients to reduce and prevent acne breakouts.

WHAT IS CBG? WHAT ARE CBG SKIN BENEFITS?

Like CBD, CBG is a cannabinoid. CBG is short for cannabigerol, and it is the focus of several medical and cosmetic studies for its benefits to skin. In addition to being a strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, it is also an antibacterial and anti-fungal, suggesting it can help reduce acne. Further studies have shown that CBG also helps cells retain moisture, which is especially important for aging skin and to prevent signs of aging in young skin.

WILL CBD IN SKINCARE MAKE ME "HIGH"?

No. Whether broad spectrum CBD (No THC) or full spectrum CBD (no detectable amounts of THC), topical CBD does not reach the blood stream and therefore will not make you high.

There is a difference between clean and all natural. Although MOOD focuses on including natural, plant-derived ingredients as much as is effective to produce results, some ingredients such as Retinaldehyde (think retinol but 4X stronger and works up to 11X faster) in ourILLUMINATE Skin Brightening Serum are synthesized. This classifies it a clean ingredient but not fully natural.
